I enjoy watching people, listening to people, talking to people, and learning about people and from people. I just really enjoy people and life. Life is constantly happening. I enjoy being a part of life. Everyone has their own experiences in life. Obviously, the experiences I have had in life are the experiences I am going to understand best. I have the absolute best view of my life! I realize that I cannot see everything but, only what is in my view. Just as you cannot see everything from my view. This is the gift of relationship with people. We get to share what we can see from our own little view of the world, our own small view of the life and people around us. So, when you share your view with me, and I share my view with you, then both of our views are broadened. I love that!

This blog is about my view from my small slice of life. God has gone beyond, beyond and blessed me with some amazing family and friends that make my view shine. Family is one of the largest contributors to my view. I have three incredible children. A loving, supportive, crazy extended family and precious friends that make my view POP!

A part of my life that has had a great impact was the diagnosis of cancer of my then 2 and a half year old son. During that trial I began blogging on his Caring Bridge site (www.caringbridge.org/visit/nathanjohnson). This was healing for me and helpful for those that love us. Our precious son is now cancer free and a very strong, courageous 18 year old man!

Since that time our family has seen a variety of trials and triumphs. We have mounrned losses and celebrated joys! My precious children have grown up and I am learning and enjoying parenting and being friends with my 3 adult children!

In 2023 I was dropped back into the world of cancer when I started my own battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Much of what I write now is related to this fight and other real life experiences of being a mom, a teacher, and any other adventure I encounter along the way!

Thank you for taking a glimpse of my view of the world! It is just my view and, of course, in only a moment the view can change! I look forward to sharing my view with you!

  1. My wife is amazing! I have learned countless life lessons through her as we share life together. I am so proud of her courageous spirit. This blog is an answer to prayer for me and my family. We have known for the past few years that she was a gifted writer and that her Caring Bridge posts had changed people’s lives all around the world. She has an unbelievable gift of using her “realness” and verbal/emotional skill to communicate her exact feelings to the reader. She with a few well-placed words can paint a magnificent masterpiece of the highs and lows of life, family, and ministry, all the while encouraging the reader to savor every breath they take.
I am blessed to be her husband and friend. I am ecstatic to see just how God will grow her great ministry. You go baby!
